I received my wireless food thermometer and a box. It included a handheld receiver, a base and a stainless steel temperature probe. Both the receiver and the base require Triple-A batteries. The handheld receiver includes a flashlight so you can look at your food is cooking outside in the dark great for those late-night barbecues. The handheld receiver includes a timer. The meat probe connect directly to the base to check the meat. You can either have the handheld receiver connected to the base or connected to your belt or holding it. This is a great instrument so you don't have to stand over your barbecue with the entire time. I receive this product for free for my honest unbiased opinion.
