We received our multipurpose heating pad. It was in a plastic bag to avoid contamination and if it has a scent I assume to keep it seal. It came with a guide to use which included: info on the pad, use and storage instructions, cleaning instructions, and heating/freezing times. This pack is designed for multiple area, and multiple uses. It is filled with rice, some of the packs also come scented. When warming the pack out microwave actually needed additional time other than the 2 minutes required. The pack held the heat for quite a long time to be honest! When cooling it was suggested to put in freezer for 2 hrs. It held its coldness for around 15-20 mind perfect for icing. I personally used my pack warm on my neck and forehead for my migraines. I received this item for free for my honest unbiased opinion.
