The wire stripper is steel and hard plastic with gray rubber grip. The grip helps you handle the stripper compared to other strippers I have used this one has an overall better feel to it due to the rubber and plastic combo handling. It's jaws are adjustable for any thickness of wire you will need stripping. It has a hinge like jaw set up so it strips the wire clean and with very little force or effort. It has a nut for adjusting to any type of wire you plan on stripping. It also includes a spring so it resets itself instead of forcing back into position. It also has a stopper for if you want to hold the wire into a certain area for stripping. The cutter works quickly with as before mentioned very little strength. It also includes crimmpers for finalizing repairs or connecting of wires. This wire stripper is an all in one tool, simple to use and easy to understand. I received this item for free for my honest unbiased opinion.
