My fan arrived in a protective box. it includes; the fan, the base, remote with batteries, and the instructions. The button battery is easy to install in the remote. The base slides on the the bottom and you screw on the bottom part on it. Then you stand it up and plug it in. It's a little heavy with the base attached but that's the point so it doesn't fall. The remote can turn it on off, raise the spin level, rotation, timer, and modes. The modes can control the way it breezes. The timer is 30 minutes-7hrs! I love the hand remote so I don't have to keep getting up. I also love that it's tall sleek design hits all levels of the room. It's powered by 3 seperate fans. You can also control it by using the touch friendly buttons. I also like that it's slim because you can easily put it in any corner of the room and it doesn't take up much space. I received this product for free for my honest unbiased opinion.
