I have 2 little girls-this was a huge mistake in the fake that now we are sharing our butterflies. This beautiful butterfly set keeps my 6 month old very entertained at night in her room, but also makes my 5-year-old feel safe and relaxed in her room. So we’ve decided to move it to the porch to share, the light does great outside and really works in all weather. I like the idea of the batteries so I can use it indoors or outdoors but a backup solar source would be nice for outdoors. The butterfly light has 3 modes and you must use the on button to turn on and the off to turn off. It is not automatic. Classic beauty to any yard or room with a very traditional elegant feel. During the day the butterflies are see through allowing it to blend with ease. I received this product for free for my honest unbiased opinion.
