Life hack toothpaste

My hubby was so sick of taking cap on and off of his new toothpaste.  So he simply got his old tooth paste and replaced the cap with the new one so now he can just snap it open.

What to do with all those plastic eggs!

Put rhyming words on your eggs. One on top one on bottom kids should put them together and say the words. What a great way to teach rhyming!!
Tech your kids their upper and lower case letters.
Make next year's wreath. You can buy a cheap wreath from dollar store hot glue on grass and eggs with and cute bow!!
Teach your kids math! Answers on bottom and questions on top.
Put in egg carton and have your kids practice counting also slip the proper number of beans inside.
Make thrifty musical instruments. Fill with beans or rice for shakers. Hot glue add spoons hot glue and wrap with duct tape.
Why not use the eggs to carry your kids snacks. Who needs sand which bags when you got plastic eggs.
Make this cute caterpillar. Use all tops or all bottoms wire a peice of string through hot glue on the head and some cute eyes. Quick and easy toy!
Use eggs to teach your child re n their opposites
Add a small glows tick or glow bracelet and your ready for a party
String them up for your next party!
Use foam to make cute characters for next spring or to play.
Let kids paint stick in cupcake cups and ley kids make little cupcakes for their play kitchens
If your like me you love making things wi th your kids. So next time you make moonsand, playdough or anything that needs to be contained use your plastic eggs.
Use for jello molds. Or jello shots :)
Use for decorating for next easter. I personally use basket grass instead of the twine your choice.
Use several plastic cups, band them together and see how many points your kid can score.
Backwards jenga with eggs! What yes we did this last year. See how high you can stack them without making them fall!
Put all you eggs in a pool during the summer add a penny to 1 per child and let them dive under and find the penny. Of course let them sink first. They have holes if you hold them under they will sink, if your too impatient cracked em open let them fill and then close and drop them.

Hope you have fun!! If any of you mom's have any other thrifty ideas put them in the comments!!

Easter projects you've seen and do they work?

Do these easter projects work as well as them seem? Are they truely as easy as they say.

Of course this works you. just need steady hands and feet. My only suggestion is to use a peice only f paper and frame it rather than a canvas as it is much cheaper and last likely to get damaged through the years.
OIL THE Balloon Before hand!!! Don't use so much glue. This can be tricky to get the proper mixture. Allow to dry completely.
Ever dyed eggs? The come out like this every time. My family uses the died eggs for deviled eggs every year so we can have a colorful easter appetizer.
Super simple. I prefer to use basket grass it actually looks much better.
Haven't tried this yet. It's on my to do list. Anyone have you tried?
Did this for our last easter party super cute flare.
Super cute idea works better with cotton balls. The Marshmellows don't glue so well. They can become melty.
The carrots are easy to do with construction paper and staples. Don't worry about putting crinkles looks just as good flat.
Hanging eggs it's very cute works well use a thicker thread. No yarn or thin thread. I also popped treats inside when I did this for the kids. Like a  easter piƱata. Lol.
Did this last year. I love easter! I love every holiday but can't stand all the candy given to my child. I printed out cute cards made on computer that gave my daughter special premissions. Cut back on the candy. Another idea is to fill eggs with party favors. Like small trucks, spin tops, whistles, nail polish, lip gloss and so on.
Not great. Honestly doesn't come out like it should maybe you can get it to work. But I just couldn't for any reason!!! So frustrating.
This is a cute idea for decor. Just remember if your going to do it. It's tedious so patience is key.
I'm so trying this. You can make these and paint them as cute porch decor.
Cute. I've done it. Pretty simple cut a rabbit out from car board or paper glue picture and add cotton balls. How complicated right!?
This is a personal add of mine. I found these cute little moss bunnies at the dollar store 3 a pack for a $1.00 bought 1 fake arrangments of flowers. Cut off flowers, poked hole through rabbits and added to my home made flower balls to flair for easter.

I this does work. And works rather well. The trick if your having a hard time is to put the egg of surface you want to release laying down or touching. Instead of trying to get the egg out the way way through the bottom. Simply spread two of the wise bars at or near the top and and it should open at bottom releasing. The cheaper the wisk the better! Don't use a heavy wisk or you could have a harder time getting it out. If you open through top you'll have dye free hands :) practice with a raw egg first so you'll be gentle.
Anything else you guys want me to try for easter send asap!

Diffrent ways to use contact paper pt 2

I use contact paper to spice up the wall decor.

Total cost $1.00- but I used spare contact paper I had.

I bought this wire bird cage from good will for $5! I LOVE IT! But couldn't help the tought of feeling it needed something more.

First I put bird cage on contact paper to trace shape I needed.
I used a wet erase marker so I could simple wipe off excess color.
Put bird cage on top after cutting out to cut off any extra excess.
Lightly sanded wall wiped down. Hung up cage then put contact paper behind it. I simply pulled off backing slipped it behind and pressed in available spots. Removed caged and made sure it was securely down, and re added cage.

Diffrent ways to use contact paper pt. 1

Redid end tables.

Total cost: $2.00
Our end tables I love them we moved them to room to use as side tables for bed instead of using our smaller dressers. But after a while I got bored with the glass and tired of seeing my storage (knitting supplies) under them. So I covered them in contact paper.

Below are before and after pictures.

Here's what you do simply unfold one end stick and as you slowly work the contact paper on rub top to remove bubbles and pull out some more. Cut ends and wrap under glass. Tada. I had to do two rows so I made sure my patterns were similar when adding second row. :) hope you like!

***also see feb. Post about updating dressers one of those was lining the top with contact paper due to scratches. :)
